This College was named after the St. Francis Xavier which was a Jesuit saint of the 16th century who came to travel in India. St. Xavier's College was affiliated to the University of Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) in 1869. This college prepares the students to access degree in Arts, Science and Commerce.
