MAT stands for Management Aptitude Test and it is an entrance exam organized by AIMA (All India Management Association). This Entrance exam is created for those students who want to pursue post graduate management courses. Students who aspire to do management courses from any of the top management institutes in all over country will have to clear the MAT Entrance Exam. The MAT Exam is always held four times in a year i.e. January, May, September, and December. Student who scores more in this test can get higher chances to get admitted in any of the top institutes of management.
Candidates can choose the way of appearing this test as they can either give it as paper based test or as online test. Students who want to fill a MAT Application form for entrance exam can get it from the 75 designated branches of Bank of Baroda & 18 AIMA centers at the cost of 980/- rupees. Students can also apply it online by downloading the form but they have to pay the cost of application form through Demand Draft. Students must have their graduate degree in their hand before appearing this Entrance Exam but the students who are near to complete their graduation can also apply for it.
The duration of this exam is of two and half hours and it contain 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ). There are five sections from which 40 questions each will be asked in the exam and the sections are:
- Language Comprehension
- Mathematical Skills
- Data Analysis and Sufficiency
- Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
- Indian and Global Environment
Now the MAT exam is also recognized as a National Entrance Test by HRD (Human Resource Development).
