L.L.B. Course, Bachelor Law

The full form of L.L.B. is Bachelor of Laws or Bachelor of Law. This is a professional legal degree that is required in the legal professions at civil and criminal courts. The crying need for justice in the state has been rising in every state. With the great number of cases still lying with the courts without justice being meted out, the demand for legal cells and justice is as great as the demand for good legal professionals. With the limited facility for prompt service and court procedures there is a great backlog of cases that are awaiting judgements from courts. Hence with the rise in demand there is a corresponding rise in law graduates and undergraduate institutes offering course in Bachelor of Law (LLB) in India today.

The legal education apex body in India is the Bar Council of India. This Bar Council monitors and regulates the system of legal education in India. There are several autonomous Law Colleges in India which offer courses to students who wish to pursue a professional career in the legal sector of the state. There are two options for legal courses that is three year course for graduates and five year course for under graduates. The five year course degree with B.A. L.L.B. (Honours) degree is obtained by students who complete the integrated degree course. Other degrees in law offered are B.Sc.,LLB and BBA LLB after five years of study in law colleges. There are several law universities in India like the National Law School of India University Bangalore, West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences Kolkata, National Law Institute University Bhopal, National Law University Jodhpur and National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (NALSAR) Hyderabad. Under Graduate Program B.A. LL.B (Hons.) Course at NLSIU Bangalore Admission is as follows:

Five year degree program for Bachelor of Law Admission dates are early July. LLB Admission forms with DD in favour of Registrar NLSIU, Bangalore must reach before the due date as mentioned in the Notification issued by the University.

LLB Delhi University

The Delhi University conducts entrance tests for LLB and LLM admissions 2010 in Delhi. LLB entrance exam will include 175 objective questions with multiple choice answers on topics related to constitutional law, laws of contracts, torts, criminal/family/marriage/divorce as well as public international law. LLB Admissions 2010: Last date for submission of application forms for LLB is 17 May 2010. Date of Issue of LLB Duplicate Admission Ticket is 29 May 2010.

LL.B. Entrance Exam Dates 2010

  • Entrance test 2010 for LLB is at 9,30 amon 30 May 2010.
  • LL.M admissions are also being held for the academic year 2010-2011.
  • LL.M admissions are subject to Entrance Test on Saturday 9.30 am 5 June 2010. the reporting time of all test will be 9.30 a.m.
  • Last date of submission of application forms is 17 May 2010
  • A duplicate Admission ticket is issued only in case of non-receipt of the original for LL.M. on 4 June 2010.
LLB results are scheduled after one week from the date of entrance test. Students can obtain the LLB results online or from the Delhi University display board. Notification about the results will be released on the allotted day.

LLB Correspondence Courses are held in several institutes in India. LLB Admission forms for Correspondence courses are offered by Distance Education Universities. Students desiring to do LLB through distance learning can download information from Law university websites as well through Open Universities.
