Admissions to the B.Tech course require 50% eligibility at the AIEEE entrance examination. 30% eligibility as per merit gained through V-SAT. The final 20% eligibility is based on the criteria of 60% in Class XII examination.
Admission to the Post graduate course of Vignan University requires a bachelor's degree while the Ph.D. program demands a minimum of post graduation in the relevant discipline.

Students are invited to register for Ph.D. and M.Phil Programs in the various fields of engineering viz. civil engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology, electronic and communication engineering among others. Apart from the above management post graduates are offered doctoral research and study facilities in the following disciplines viz. marketing management, operations management, accounting and financial management and human resources management among others.

Graduate level courses run by Vignan University are offered by Vignan University, for which students can apply and submit the application fee at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam if not able to do so at Vignan University Guntur. The Under Graduate programs available at Vignan University are B.Tech. in the following fields : chemical engineering, bio-technology, computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering among others.
