Delhi University (DU)

Delhi University has become one of the famous universities in the country. In present age, DU ranks among the top learning institutions all over India. The University of Delhi was constructed in 1922 with three colleges. These colleges were St. Stephens's college (established in1881), Hindu college (1899) and Ramjas College (founded in 1917). Many celebrities have passed out from Delhi University so far.

Every student wants an admission in Delhi University. Delhi University offers a wide selection of courses in many fields like humanities, law, medical, non- medical, engineering , computers, foreign languages and so on for the undergraduate students. On the other hand, the University of Delhi offers post- graduate courses for the graduate students as well. These post-graduate courses are MA. M.Phil and PhD. DU offers diploma or certificate courses also. Some colleges of Delhi University are very famous and every one wants to take the admission in these. Delhi University is divided into two campuses. The first one is known as North Campus, which is the main hub of Delhi University. On the other hand, Delhi University South Campus, situated in South Delhi and established in 1973 is meant for the South Delhi students. Delhi university admission usually begins in June and the session starts in the second week of July.

You can collect the application form of DU in either the last week of May or the first of week of June. Delhi University Courses

The University of Delhi offers many courses for the undergraduate and post graduate students. If you have come from the humanities background then DU offers B.A Honors courses in many subjects. Theses Honors courses are English, Hindi, Economics, Maths, Psychology, Sociology, Political-Science, Philosophy, Geography, Sanskrit, Punjabi, History, Urdu, Bengali, Arabic and so on.

If you have Science subjects in 12th standard then the University of Delhi offers B.Sc courses. If you want admission in MBA then you have to clear the nationwide entrance exam conducted by the Faculty of Management Studies. Delhi University Faculty of Law was founded in 1924. Dr. Hari Singh Gaur was the first vice- chancellor of this faculty. The Faculty of Law offers a unique teaching method of law for the future lawyer. It offers a 3 year L.L.B program for the students. If you want admission in Delhi University Faculty of Law then you must have scored over 50% of marks at graduation level. Moreover, the faculty has reserved 15% seats for the scheduled cast and 7.5% for the scheduled tribes as well as 3% of seats for the PH (physically handicapped) candidates. Delhi University Results

After Delhi university exams are over students wait eagerly the DU results, so that they can go ahead and enroll for further studies. The University of Delhi declares the result approximately two or three months after the exam. Moreover, the results are declared according to your subjects. You can check the Delhi university results either online or by visiting the college office. If you lose your original mark sheet then university of Delhi will give duplicate mark sheet in place of the lost one. Delhi University will give hard copy of results because it is a permanent record for the students and college staff members. It shows your result as pass or fail and also indicates your marks. Delhi university entrance exam results are declared within one or two weeks. You can get a degree from the university after attaining success in the corresponding exam.
