IP University offers two courses for Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) that include MCA in general and MCA in Software Engineering. To get admission for MCA course, you are required to clear the common entrance test (CET) that is conducted by the Indraprastha University. The entrance test is conducted in order to check or judge the decision making ability, reasoning and computer knowledge. The MCA entrance test 2010 will be held on 22nd of May and the IP University MCA result shall be announced on 29th of May. IP University MCA Entrance Syllabus
The MCA entrance syllabus for the written test comprises of Reasoning and Analytical Ability, Computer Knowledge, English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness. The entrance exam is of two and half hours and the medium of exam is in English. The entrance test 2010 shall contain 150 objective type questions in total. The total number of seats for MCA course is 1080. The test centers for the same include Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Bhopal and Nagpur. IP University has recently come up with the online admission as they can fill up the application form for the admission online. IP University MCA Eligibility
The eligibility to take admission in IP University for MCA course is to score 50% marks in aggregate as well as you must have studied English and Mathematics at the senior secondary level that is in 12th standard. If students are looking to take admission in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University MCA then it is necessary for the candidates to have bachelor's degree from a recognized or any reputed University thereby scoring minimum 50% marks in any discipline. Besides this, they should have studied English and Mathematics in XII standard. Students who have done bachelor's degree in Technology or Engineering can also apply for the MCA course if they have secured minimum percentage of 50% marks. Students who have completed their graduation in BCA/BIT/BIS must score more than 50% marks in total.
