State Level Entrance Exams

The admission procedure for each state is in accordance with its education policy. At the pre degree level from XI to XII grade the SSC test is held as part of the procedure for admission to Junior Colleges as well as those offering education through Diplomas.Apart from that 15% reserved for NRI / Foreign students

Entrance Exams : Engineering

AICTE) All India Council for Technical Education is the apex body to which all educational institutes of engineering are affiliated. If one must seek admission to the NIIT (National Institutes of Technology then the entrance examination must be completed through the (AIEEE) All India Engineering Entrance Examination. Medical Entrance Exams

(MCT) The Medical Council of India regulates and supervises the standard of medical education India. Many students also opt for private institutions like the Christian Medical College, Vellore and St. John's medical College, Bangalore where students are taken strictly on merit basis. The CBSE conducts PMT known as pre-medical test which is the procedure for admission to MBBS program, through this entrance exam.

Law Entrance Exams

Very good prospects are ensured in the legal practice, a profession that is increasingly pursued. Some popular Law Institutions are Delhi University, NLU, HNLU, NLSIU, GNLU, NALSER and other state colleges. Karnataka has 62 law colleges. Several universities and renowned institutes offer courses through their admission procedures, commencing with entrance tests followed by interviews. These are held between the months of April and June.

Film & Television Entrance Examinations

Apart from the glamour of filmdom, the film industry offers several fields for employment. Training in specific sections such as sound, light, setting of cinematography are available. FTII (Film and Television Institute of India offers the above courses to students willing to pursue a career in the film industry. Opportunities galore are available for those who are willing to complete not only the entrance examination but also the interviews at the end.

Management Entrance Exams

Various Management Institutes and business schools in India conduct entrance exams through CAT (Common Admission Test, MAT, XAT SNAP or JMAT as part of their admission procedure.Certain colleges offer opportunities through distance learning. Hence MBA distance learning entrance examinations are held.

Fashion and Technology entrance exams

Entrance exams are essential for admission to a great selection of courses in fashion designing technology offered by reputed institutes like NIFT and NID. Many departments have their own procedures for admission e.g. Nirmala Niketan College of Home science, Mumbai which is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It is an opportunity to use one's gifts for shapes, color and styles.
